QUINTA DO COLMEAL: THREE CASAS & SWIMMING-POOL
At a short distance from the houses is the large water reservoir which in the old days was used for agricultural purposes. This reservoir has been converted into a swimming-pool of large proportions and designed in classical style. It provides a fixed cooling and refreshing place of rest in this Mediterranean oasis: genuinely Roman in character with Roman and Visigot columns alongside, symmetrical (11 by 11m, 2m. deep), embedded in marble and situated among orange trees, commanding a wide view of the surrounding olive trees.
